Stroke may lead to many sequelae and may even result in severe impairment of the patient's physical functions, causing permanent disability. Stroke incidence is on the rise in young adults, many young patients are at the age of working hard for their career and family, and they may be the breadwinners of their family. Therefore, after a sudden attack, they are eager to receive proper treatment and recover as soon as possible so that they can work hard for their families and livelihoods.
According to research, the first 6 months after a stroke is the golden rehabilitation period with the most effective results. Unfortunately, there is a lack of support for stroke rehabilitation, and the ongoing medical costs are very high, which is a heavy burden for patients. As a result, it is difficult for many patients to receive prompt and effective rehabilitation treatment within 3 to 6 months after a stroke, making life more difficult for them and their families.
To help those in need, the Welfare Council established the "S.K.H. Stroke Rehabilitation Charity Fund" in 2015, aiming to subsidise the disadvantaged low-income stroke patients to receive post-discharge stroke rehabilitation services so that they can grasp the golden opportunity of rehabilitation and regain their physical functions as soon as possible and get back to the right track of life.
Your generous support will enable the beneficiaries of the "S.K.H. Stroke Rehabilitation Charitable Fund" to receive :
